Another Coldfusion Disaster
Yes kids, don't try this at home. I spent about a week in my overly busy schedule trying to make head or tail out of yet another CMS called Phoenix, developed by Simon Haddon at Sibern Solutions . I have to say in all deference to Simon, who was extremely supportive during my trials with the installation and setup, that this CMS is for those of you with a real coding background in Coldfusion and it’s not for those who just want to post their vacation and family blog stuff. There are far better solutions for that. No, this one requires a solid background in unix/linux, cfml, apache, PostgreSQL, etc. In the coming days and weeks I am going to try to steadily document my experiences with it, and why I have taken time away from it for now.
